within the framework of the Year of India in Russia, September, 29th, Moscow
The First Russian-Indian Forum on Trade and Investments,
that took place in February 2007, revealed the growing interest of Russian
companies to the Indian market, especially to its electric power
engineering, metallurgy, car and aircraft building, transfer of high tech
and developing infrastructure.
Taking into account that the year of 2009 has been
proclaimed the Year of Russia in India, it's been decided to hold III
Russian-Indian Forum on Trade and Investments. Its organizers are Ministry
for Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and Ministry
for Economic Development of India with the support from media holding
Expert.
The main stress in the Forum agenda is laid on discussing
new joint projects prospects and conditions for increasing effectiveness of
the already existing ties between companies and regions of the two
countries. Special attention will be paid to developing partnership in such
spheres as power engineering and energy resources, transport and
infrastructure, high tech and technical military cooperation and also
issues of strengthening international partnership by small and medium-size
business representatives.
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation V. A. Zubkov and Prime Minister of India M. Singh will speak at the opening of the Forum. The Forum will host about 500 delegates from Russia and
India. The reports will be made by members of the governments of the two
countries, heads of large national corporations, business associations,
regional administrations and also by highly reputed independent experts.
